Ira & Buddy Mize penned “Hangin On” back in the early 1960′s.  It has been cut by several, including Barbara Mandrell, Cher, Waylon Jennings, The Gosdin Brothers, Joe Simon, Ann Peebles, Lee Hazelwood & Nancy Sinatra, Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn, The Wilburn Brothers, and so many more, not to mention it was the first hit by Vern Gosdin!.  It has made it’s way back now… when they roll the credits for the movie “Country Strong” Ira and Buddy’s name appear.  On Country Strong .. more music.. the song is sung by “Jypsi” and causing quite a stir in Nashville.  You can hear it on ITunes.  As Ira says ” A song is only as old as the last time it was performed well.”

Ira will headline the show at the LeClub Calumet in Augusta, ME Sat April 10th at 2:00 PM and another show at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls on Sun April 11th at 2:00 PM.  Check out his website “Photos” on Page 6 for a poster with pictures of the performers.  He will also be performing at 2 breakfast shows during the week (see posters of  location and times also in “photo” section – page 6).
